Beer

There are now 3 beers brewed regularly:

  1. Original 3.9% abv. – A light, hoppy quaffable ale.

  2. Signature 4.4% abv. - Very light in colour with a bitter back taste. Silver award winner in the SIBA S.E. Regional Competition at the Reading Beer Festival 29th April - 2nd May 2004. Silver award winner in the NHA 'Beauty of Hops' Competition held at The White Horse, Parsons Green 9th June 2004.

  3. Saint George 4.5% abv - A new brew for 2006, Brewed with Sussex Hops, Malted Barley and South Downs Water. A real English Beer for Saint George - a Patron Saint is there all year and not just to be remembered on April 23rd.

And 6 seasonal beers:

  1. Three Threads 4.3% abv - A Mild style brewed with three types of barley (March - May) Silver Medal Winner SIBA South East Regional Beer Competition 2007 at Paddock Wood Hop Farm

  2. Bee Head 4.6% abv - A light Yellow/Amber beer brewed with a dash of local honey (May - Sept)

  3. Lammas Ale 4.2% - A blend of malted wheat and malted barley flavoured with Kent & Sussex Hops. Brewed specially for the Lammas Festival in August

  4. Armistice Ale 4.2% abv - Recognised by The Royal British Legion as Poppy Appeal fund raiser. Brewed using local (Burwash) hops. (October - November)

  5. Winter Warrant 4.8% abv - Very dark, smooth roasted flavour. (November  - March)

  6. Ginger Nol 4.7% abv - A subtle combination of smoked malted barley and fresh root ginger. (November - March)

And 4 new trial beers

  1. Gold Angel 5.0% abv - Strong, gold hoppy ale. Probably become a regular in 2008

  2. Hop Pocket 3.7% abv - Assertively hopped, refreshing quaffing ale. Good hop flavour, clean bitter edge to cut the thirst. Will also probably be a regular in 2008

  3. Declaration 4.1% abv - Specially created to celebrate Waldron CC 250th anniversary, a less strong and more hoppy Signature style beer. Will be making an appearance during 2008 cricket season due to popular demand.

  4. Triple Champion 4.0% abv - A traditional malty, bitter English Ale brewed to celebrate SCCC 3rd County Championship win
